At a young age, Brian developed a passion for racing. Growing up in a small town in Nebraska, he wasn’t into sports like football or basketball so instead his dad gave him a dirt bike at the age of 4. He began riding and soon realized his dream was to become a free style motocross rider. To pursue his dream, he knew the only way to do that was to leave Nebraska after high school graduating and head to Southern California. After graduating High School, he told his father, give me one year at riding dirt bikes down south and if it doesn’t work out, I will go to college. With one goal in mind, Brian took a credit card, and old truck, and his dirt bike strapped down in the back. He began to enter every race he could and soon picked up a couple sponsors. Brain became good friends with rider Ronnie Faist, now one of Deegan’s best friends. Brain first became friends with the Crusty Demons group which helped him shape his talents as a freestyle dirt bike rider. Turning pro at 17, Brian won the 125cc Supercross Race in 1997 at the LA Coliseum. He was the youngest person at his time to win that race and in spite of his success; he ghost rode his bike over the finish line. This historical moment gave Brian the fame he always wanted to get his name recognized to the public. He was a true rebel and portrayed that bad boy image which soon was a huge hit for the motocross industry. Through his image, he built a team of friends which later became his soldiers in the group called The Metal Mulisha. This progressive group of riders soon began running the sport with their tattoos, partying, not giving a damn about anything, image soon grabbed the attention of everyone. Brian rode with a passion, despite all the broken bones, concussions, stitches, and almost dying 3 separate times, to an extraordinary 10 X-Game Medals! He shaped the motocross sport into what it is today. Today, FMX is recognized across the world as one of the premiere events in X-Games.
Brians success has gave him the life and fame he always wanted. He always has a good head on his shoulders. FMX is the craziest x-treme sport there is and Brian is a soldier when it comes to riding. No matter what the circumstances are, he always pushes the limits. He has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. He is a business man at heart with running his multi-million dollar business of The Metal Mulisha. Metal Mulisha has pushed the image so far, it has opened the doors for new ideas for Brian to pursue. Not only does he enjoy riding freestyle motocross, but he recently has also rides in x-games, is an announcer at x-games, races rally car in events and in x-games, he is training to race in Nascar in the near future, he runs events such as The Crusty Demons Tour, Nuclear Cowboyz, and other small gigs.
